Position Summary
The Accounting Coordinator provides daily support in the administration of the Finance Department processes for accounts payable, accounts receivable, including researching and communicating the processes. Additional responsibilities include filing, administrative duties and other accounting transactions as required and in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles. This is a full time position Monday-Friday, with a starting wage range is $17.75-$24!
Position Duties & Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable vouchers and check disbursements.
- Backup support for accounts receivable, cash receipts processing, and reviewing finance transactions.
- Ensure proper maintenance and storage of accounting records and reports.
- Identify internal control risks to Finance Director or Finance Controller
- Support the Finance Department in the preparation of audit work papers.
- Complete other duties and special projects assigned by the Finance Director or Finance Controller.
Position Requirements
- At least 3 years of related experience in accounts payable and/or accounts receivable.
- Knowledge of basic accounting and office management systems, procedures, and functions.
- At least 3 years of experience in a position processing high volumes of accounts payable and/or accounts receivable.
- Ability to work effectively with customers and co-workers.
- Excellent record keeping and organizational skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain sustained concentration with attention to detail.
- Excellent computer, 10-key, and keyboarding skills, including basic Excel knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
