Job Opportunity: Turf Equipment Technician (Mechanic)
Location: Portland, OR
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Role Overview: We are looking for a skilled technician specializing in John Deere Turf Equipment. Your main tasks will include diagnosing and repairing turf equipment, setting up new machinery per manufacturer guidelines, and occasionally traveling to customer sites to provide support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair John Deere and other turf equipment.
- Set up new equipment according to specifications.
- Travel to customer locations as needed.
- Maintain equipment and tools in good condition.
- Perform general housekeeping and property maintenance.
- Collaborate with the Service Manager for workflow consistency.
- Document repairs and maintain paperwork.
- Adhere to safety policies and support a safe work environment.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a technician (agriculture, automotive, truck, or turf equipment) or equivalent training.
- Experience with John Deere equipment is a plus.
- Basic tool set required.
- Good physical condition; ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation; must be insurable.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Hourly, Full-time: $25 - $30 per hour DOE
