Are you passionate about coffee and eager to turn raw beans into the perfect cup of joe? We’re looking for a Coffee Roaster to join our team in Portland. This is your chance to work in a vibrant environment where your skills and creativity will shine!

What You’ll Do:
- ?? Transform Beans: Roast and blend coffees to perfection, following specific roast profiles and blending recipes.
- ??? Master Equipment: Learn the safe operation of all roasting equipment, roast terminology, and maintenance procedures.
- ?? Quality Control: Identify and describe cup characteristics of roasted coffee using standard cupping procedures.
- ?? Move Product: Transport products to necessary locations and operate all equipment in the Roasting Department.
- ?? Safety First: Adhere to equipment maintenance procedures and comply with Safe Quality Food 2000 Code (SQF 2000 Code).
- ?? Housekeeping: Maintain daily and weekly housekeeping duties and assist in other areas as needed.
What We’re Looking For:
- ?? Experience: High School Diploma or G.E.D. and good mechanical aptitude.
- ?? Physical Ability: Capable of lifting up to 70 lbs and pushing/pulling up to 100 lbs.
- ??? Skills: Strong knowledge of equipment operation, creativity in improving efficiency, and excellent reading and writing skills.
- ?? Team Player: Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and work well with others.
