Job Full Description
This full-time position is ideal for a candidate with at least 3 years of experience in human resources, payroll, and benefits administration. Union experience is a plus. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with strong communication skills, the ability to multitask, and a passion for working both independently and as part of a team.
Fulltime, $26-$28/HR DOE
4-10 hour shifts, Monday through Thursday, 7am-5pm
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all phases of the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and offboarding
- Manage timekeeping tasks and process payroll for all employees, including tax filings, W-2 reconciliation, and reporting
- Administer benefits for both union and non-union staff, ensuring compliance and clear communication of coverage options
- Oversee 401(k) program compliance, employee enrollment, and change requests
- Provide support for accounting tasks related to payroll and HR functions, such as accounts payable and receivable
- Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws and regulations
- Participate in union negotiations and assist with labor management committee activities
- Maintain accurate records of employee data
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred, or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in human resources, payroll, and benefits administration preferred
- Strong knowledge of payroll laws, tax regulations, related accounting and compliance duties, and year-end processes
- Proficiency in employment laws and regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Union experience is a plus
