Job Full Description

Part time Human Resources/Payroll Specialist

Pay is DOE (3 days a week open schedule)

Human Resources:

  • Schedule interviews and contact candidates as needed
  • Liaise with external partners, like insurance vendors, and ensure legal compliance
  • Answer employee queries about HR related issues
  • Prepare monthly reports
  • Screen resumes and job applications
  • Distribute physical and digital training
  • Maintain employee records
  • Assist with new hire onboarding
  • Update internal databases with new hire information

Payroll:

  • Mange compensation packages using payroll software (ADP)
  • Collect and verify timekeeping information from all employees
  • Calculate pay according to hours worked incorporating leaves and overtime
  • Manage and calculate taxes and deductions
  • Issues statements and invoices and maintain records
  • Update paper and electronic payroll records by entering adjustments on pay rates, employee status changes
  • Calculate unemployment and severance payments
  • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in payroll

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in payroll and HR
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills
  • 5 years of HR/Payroll experience required
  • Knowledge of labor legislation/laws
  • Hands on experience with Microsoft Office and ADP
