Job Full Description
Part time Human Resources/Payroll Specialist
Pay is DOE (3 days a week open schedule)
Human Resources:
- Schedule interviews and contact candidates as needed
- Liaise with external partners, like insurance vendors, and ensure legal compliance
- Answer employee queries about HR related issues
- Prepare monthly reports
- Screen resumes and job applications
- Distribute physical and digital training
- Maintain employee records
- Assist with new hire onboarding
- Update internal databases with new hire information
Payroll:
- Mange compensation packages using payroll software (ADP)
- Collect and verify timekeeping information from all employees
- Calculate pay according to hours worked incorporating leaves and overtime
- Manage and calculate taxes and deductions
- Issues statements and invoices and maintain records
- Update paper and electronic payroll records by entering adjustments on pay rates, employee status changes
- Calculate unemployment and severance payments
- Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in payroll
Requirements:
- Proven experience in payroll and HR
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills
- 5 years of HR/Payroll experience required
- Knowledge of labor legislation/laws
- Hands on experience with Microsoft Office and ADP
