Manufacturing Technician - Sutherlin Facility

Come work with a great local manufacturing company seeking a highly motivated individual to add to their Composites team as a Manufacturing Technician at their Sutherlin Facility.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Performs various support processes including day tank refilling, mixing, and adding oil and pigments to resin, emptying resin catch and solvent flush buckets following proper procedures, and performs minor repair to de-molded parts.
  • Preps and replenishes raw materials such as resin, acetone, roving, glue, and fiberglass when necessary.
  • Completes intensive cleaning of molds according to schedule.
  • Strips, cleans, and applies releasing agents to injection molds.
  • Follows the unique operating procedure for each of the injection molds assigned to them.
  • Loads or fills molds with appropriate raw materials, pays attention to detail.
  • Operates push buttons to begin mold process and uses a checklist to confirm process is in order and complete as required.
  • Monitors and ensures that the system shuts down automatically and the automatic solvent flush occurs.
  • Operates Waterjet, Preform Robots, CNC (Computer Numerical Controlled) Glass Table, CNC Router, Gasketizer, or Die Table.
  • Stages finished products for internal transfer to other departments.
  • Stocks various quantities of finished fiberglass products into correct storage areas throughout the department.
  • Recognizes various glass types and weights.

Manufacturing Technician - Winchester Facility

Come work with a great local manufacturing company seeking a highly motivated individual to add to their Composites team as a Manufacturing Technician at their Winchester Facility.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Processes foam to exact dimensions.
  • Sandblasts and applies gelcoat consistently and with great attention to detail.
  • Places vents, injectors, manifolds, bagging material, and pleats in proper locations.
  • Sets up and measures materials for infusion and operates vacuum equipment.
  • Applies cleaner, sealer, release agents, and RTV (room-temperature-vulcanizing silicone) to infusion molds in proper manner.
  • Understands and complies with confined space requirements.
  • Familiar with all aspects of proper fiberglass lay-up procedures.
  • Assembles fiberglass and PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) components in exact locations using epoxies, glues, and resins.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of correct fiberglass types for each application.
  • Understands how resin moves through various substrates based on different conditions such as heat, catalyst percentage, etc.
  • Uses sheeter and scissors to cut fiberglass to proper dimensions.

Electrical Controls Assembly

Great local company seeking a highly motivated individual to add to their Electrical Controls team.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Assembles control panels according to specifications, includes back plate set up, wiring, modifying, enclosing, and packaging of control panels and parts.
  • Kits production work orders by cutting wires, installing crimps, cutting din rail, cutting wire tray/cover and pulling parts from bill of materials.
  • Tests, troubleshoots, and repairs control panels.
  • Programs circuit boards, firmware chips, and logic devices.
  • Fabricates protrusions in fiberglass, metal and plastic enclosures with drills, plasma cutter, CNC
  • Router, various pneumatic tools, etc.
  • Assembles complex enclosures and electrical components.
  • Makes labels using printers and engravers.
  • Cuts, drills, grinds, and bends various material for assembly of control panels.
  • Solders various electrical components and control panels.
  • Watches for and catches BOM (bill of materials) errors and informs lead tech when found.

Systems Production Technician

Come work with a great local manufacturing company seeking a highly motivated individual to add to their Systems Production team. This individual would be a supporting the manufacturing operations by fabricating and/or assembling, inspecting, and packaging components.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Reading and interpreting work orders,
  • Dispense and cut to order various lengths of PVC, Polyethylene, and ABS (Acrylonitrile- Butadiene-Styrene) pipe, tubing, sheets, and Polyester filter fabric in the manufacture of various components and finished products.
  • Set up jigs and fixtures for processing
  • Drills, saws, grinds, sands, sews, and welds fiberglass, PVC, ABS, and Polyethylene pipe, tubing, sheets, miscellaneous fittings, components, and Polyester filter fabric.
  • Dispenses and applies methacrylate adhesive, superglue, and various PVC cements in the manufacture of various components and finished products.
  • Grinds, trims, and reams other finished products in preparation for shipment.
  • Box, package, and label finished products

Previous experience using hand/power tools is helpful. Must have the ability to stand continuously during your scheduled shift and frequently bend, stoop, twist, and lift up to 50lbs.

Logistics Technician

Come work with a great local manufacturing company seeking a highly motivated individual to add to their Logistics team.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Learns company products and products codes and begins learning products and product codes that are not made frequently.
  • Analyzes staging list and determines contents of order and accessories needed to complete order.
  • Able to use computer and/or tablet to process orders.
  • Learns how shipping method, destination and any other special circumstances associated with order impacts packaging methods.
  • Prepares orders by obtaining product and accessories, boxing and weighing product, marking and properly labeling boxes, filling out BOL (bill of lading), and attaching packing lists.
  • Works closely with AMT's to ensure products that are being shipped are correct and packaged correctly.
  • Documents order properly using whatever technology is in use at the time.
  • Uses power tools and hand tools on orders that ship crated or protected.
    • Order Processing
  • Uses the shipping computer to place orders in lanes, print shipping labels and ship orders.
  • Stages orders by grouping orders on loading dock to await loading and shipment.
  • Packages product in a professional manor to insure their safe arrival at destination.
  • Transports and loads orders using forklift, pallet trucks, hand trucks, or may load by hand.
  • Counts pieces and confirms contents and weight of order against bill of lading before loading.
  • Learns how to assist customers in pickup of "will call" orders.
  • Begins learning/working independent orders with guidance from AMT's, Lead, and Traffic Manager.
  • Gathers correct information from truck drivers to ensure independent orders are processed and shipped correctly.

Material Handler

Job duties include but aren't limited to:

  • Operate fork trucks, carts and pallet jacks.
  • Use of handheld scanners.
  • Tracks and delivers goods from drop zones.
  • Responsible for accurately putting product in appropriate designated bin locations/drop zones
  • Requests transfers to re-stock-controlled inventory in various locations.
  • Anticipates and responds to material needs of specific work centers assigned.
  • Reports inventory shortages and count issues to Material Handler Supervisor and Material Control Manager.
  • Performs cycle counts of subcomponents, WIP, and other departmental materials.
  • Performs daily safety inspection on forklift before operation and re-fuels when necessary.
  • Organizes movement of subcomponents, finished goods and WIP materials throughout shops in a manner that eliminates delays or inefficient production scheduling.
  • Empties trash dumpsters into the appropriate receptacle as they are filled or at end of shift.
  • Keeps materials areas clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
  • Attends and participates in team meetings.
  • Must be willing to cross-train in similar duties within job description at multiple locations in the company.
