Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Grant Writer to join our non-profit organization focused on community outreach. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in document creation, funding acquisition, and knowledge of state regulations and non-profit funding mechanisms. This role requires a proactive individual who can meet strict deadlines and build strong relationships with community partners.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and identify potential funding sources, including grants, foundations, and government programs.
  • Develop and write compelling grant proposals and supporting documents based on the funding requirements.
  • Maintain a comprehensive calendar of grant deadlines and ensure timely submission of all applications.
  • Collaborate with program staff to gather necessary information for proposals and reports.
  • Build and maintain relationships with community partners, funders, and stakeholders.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with all grant requirements and state regulations.
  • Track and report on the status of grant applications and funding received.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Creative Writing, or a related area. A master’s degree is preferred.
  • At least two years of grant writing experience.
  • Proven ability to meet strict deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with diverse community partners.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with non-profit funding sources and state regulations.
  • Proficiency in document creation and management software.
