Position Overview:
The Shipping Specialist will be responsible for preparing products for shipping and receiving incoming shipments. This role involves operating a forklift, maintaining current licensing/certification, and ensuring all shipping and receiving procedures are followed accurately.
Essential Functions:
- Prepare products for shipping, adhering to established procedures.
- Receive shipments, ensuring compliance with established procedures.
- Operate a forklift and maintain up-to-date licensing/certification.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness in handling shipping and receiving tasks.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent attendance record.
- Ability to follow instructions provided in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Basic to intermediate level computer skills.
- Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules and operating instructions.
- Proficiency in basic math: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Ability to count items accurately (by hand and using a counting scale).
- Physical capability to regularly lift and move up to 40 lbs.
- Ability to use a pallet jack to move up to 2,000 lbs.
- Must be able to pass forklift licensing requirements as needed.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Pay: $17.01
