East Stroudsburg manufacturer looking for Electro-Mechanical Tech's - (1) 6am-6pm & (1) 6pm-6am - $30.00-$35.00 hourly BOE
Work independently and with team to perform preventative, predictive, and routine maintenance tasks to include troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production and facilities electrical equipment. All tasks will be performed safely while supporting company policies, goals and objectives. Be the “first line of defense” to equipment fixes.
Essential Functions:
Setup, install, adjust, and maintain production automation equipment including conveyors, pneumatics, hydraulics, pumps, motors, encoders, and VFD’s.
Equipment Maintenance - Perform routine, predictive, and preventative maintenance on equipment.
Inspect regularly and as needed to ensure proper operation.
Complex problem solving and troubleshooting of high and low voltage electrical circuits including PLC and drives.
Seek to improve product quality, production waste and production line utilization and availability.
Ability to work on or working knowledge of gearboxes, chains and couplings. Welding and fabrication is a plus.
Participate in plant safety, health, environmental programs and policies.
Other duties as needed or assigned; ability to carry out mechanical work as needed.
Required Knowledge, Skill, and Ability:
Minimum 5 years electrical and/or electro/mechanical experience on production machinery.
Competency using DVM, ammeters, hand tools, and equipment needed to complete tasks.
License preferable but not required.
Working knowledge of Siemens/Allen Bradley and/or other controls hardware.
Working knowledge of safety circuits, 24 DC, 110 and 480 VAC.
Design – effective knowledge of electrical design, with ability to read, understand, and alter plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
Must be able to effectively use a computer, monitor, keyboard, mouse, and commonly used software to complete necessary functions, including Microsoft Suite.
Ability to read, write, type, and verbally communicate fluently in English.
Must have a high level of attention to detail.
Must be organized, thorough, reliable, and dependable.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to work up to 12 hour per day; available to work overtime, weekends, and changing shifts, as needed.
Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, climb stairs, crouch, lean, reach, twist, and other physical movements required for this type of work for extended periods of time.
Ability to wear prescribed personal protective equipment.
Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
Must have finger dexterity, visual acuity, discernment of sounds, color, and texture.
Must be reliable and have the physical and mental ability to operate a forklift, scissor lift, and crane. Employer will certify.
Working Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, electricity, chemicals, dusty conditions, high noise levels, and extreme temperatures. The facility is an industrial manufacturing plant.
