A former Division I athlete at University of Connecticut and Monmouth University, Tevrin competed in both football and track and served as captain of the Monmouth football team during the 2013–14 season. He also played professional football with the Denver Broncos, New York Jets, Kansas City Chiefs, and Hamilton Tiger-Cats.
