Truck Technicians, under the direction of the Shop Supervisor, are responsible for installing specialty truck equipment, such as dump bodies, crane bodies, bumper cranes, and other related components. This position plays a critical role in maintaining the quality and functionality of commercial truck upfits for vocational markets nationwide. Key responsibilities include adhering to all safety procedures, processes, and PPE requirements while maintaining a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S standards. Technicians are tasked with installing truck bodies, body cranes, bumper cranes, plows, hitches, shelves, drawers, ladder racks, mud flaps, and backup cameras. They also attach hardware, such as drawer pulls, locks, latches, or metal ornaments, using hand tools or power screwdrivers. Additionally, they ensure work meets specified quality standards, train mechanics as needed, and perform other assignments as directed by the Supervisor or Manager. An interview process is required for the position, and technicians must supply their own tools.
