Express Employment Specialized Recruiting Group is looking to hire a Benefits Specialist with a specific focus on leave of absence administration. This person will serve as the subject matter expert and working from extensive leave administration experience, the Specialist will oversee the following: (FMLA and non-FMLA Leaves, ADA Accommodations and Short/Long Term Disability Leaves). Our client is a not-for-profit organization that provides critical administrative services to Philadelphia city offices and programs that provide behavioral health, intellectual disability, substance use, housing, public health, human services and community action to citizens in Philadelphia and the surrounding counties.

This is a full time temp to hire position that is hybrid. 3 days in the office and 2 days work from home. The first month is 5 days in the office, 9am to 5pm while in training. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Process all leave of absences, determine eligibility for various leave programs including Family and Medical Leave (FMLA) and temporary disability leave according to established guidelines, and provide employees with required timely notice
  • Manage ADA Accommodations including timely notice and the interactive process with employees and managers
  • Work cooperatively with the Fiscal/Payroll department to process and coordinate all employee leaves and absences, including Sick Leave Pool and Parental Leave

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or a similar field of study
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience, preferably in insurance, benefits administration, finance or human resources
