The Facility Cleaner will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in assigned areas of the school, ensuring a safe, clean, and healthy environment for students, staff, and visitors. This position requires attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and the ability to follow safety protocols and cleaning procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- General Cleaning:
- Clean, sanitize, and disinfect restrooms, classrooms, hallways, offices, and common areas.
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors.
- Empty trash cans and replace liners in all assigned areas.
- Dust furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
- Clean windows, walls, and light fixtures as needed.
- Clean and sanitize kitchen areas, including microwaves, refrigerators, sinks, and counters.
- Specialized Cleaning Tasks:
- Perform deep cleaning tasks such as carpet cleaning
- Clean and maintain equipment and supplies used for facility cleaning.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in custodial or facility cleaning services
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions.
Additional Requirements:
- Must pass a fingerprint-based background check as required by school policy for all employees in sensitive or public-facing roles.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, depending on the cleaning schedule.
