The maintenance tech has a “safety-first” mindset. They are self-motivated technical professional working with the management team to support the maintenance of all production equipment. Responsible for troubleshooting and repairing of a wide range of industrial equipment, and for the installation of mechanical equipment. Ensures that the plant and equipment are maintained at the highest performance level and will strive to minimize cost, energy usage, and waste in accordance with corporate policies and health and safety regulations.

 

The MT possesses excellent interpersonal skills and will interact and function effectively as an integral part of the Safety, Production, Quality, and Maintenance team.


Essential Functions:

Troubleshoots and repairs equipment in a timely, complete, and cost-effective manner.
Perform duties to maintain production machines and other facility equipment.
Check and inspect assigned equipment during preventative maintenance. Reports findings to management.
Complete work orders and update maintenance tracking system.
Identifies and recommends corrections on electrical issues through knowledge of drives and PLCs.
Ensure machine productivity and quality after repairs, changeovers, and extended down time.
Maintains inventory of repair equipment and supplies.
Respond quickly to issues or concerns that may put employees at risk for injury, to include rectifying immediate dangers.
Maintain building safety and appearance including utilities, ventilation, housekeeping and plumbing.
Communicate existing and potential issues with group leaders/maintenance manager.
Other related duties as assigned.


Position Qualifications:


Education: High school diploma/ GED preferred but not required.

Certifications preferred but not required.


Experience:

 

1-3 years of industrial maintenance experience in fast paced manufacturing environment. Any equivalent of experience and training that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position
Ability to understand and interpret gauges, tools, and instruments relating to product quality and equipment repair
Must have a good working knowledge of electricity and troubleshooting electrical issues.
Knowledge and experience with PLCs, drives are preferred.
Must have experience in welding with MIG and/or arc welder.
Forklift experience is required, training will be provided.
