Job Description
COMPANY OVERVIEW
We specialize in electrical component sales, distribution, control system integration, industrial control field service, and industrial (UL508a) control panel design and fabrication including PLC and HMI programming.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The ideal candidate will be able to layout, machine, assemble, and wire, industrial motor control panels per specifications in an accurate, neat, and timely manner which meets both business and customer’s needs.
Job Duties:
- Layout, machine, assembly and wiring of industrial control panels
- Maintain and organize all paper-work associated with each job, place in job folder
- Communicate with co-workers who have experience with specific customer requirements
- Communicate job material shortages or specification discrepancies which could impact completion of an assignment
- Maintain cleanliness of work and common areas
- Return all unused components in original packaging to test personnel
- Other duties as assigned to meet business needs
Required Skills:
- Ability to read and interpret electrical assembly and wiring diagrams
- Ability to read technical instructions to properly install various components
- Computer skills sufficient to enter data into wire and terminal marking software
- Ability to move and lift components weighing 50 lbs. minimum, unassisted
- Sufficient math ability to layout panels to proper dimensions
- Ability to use hand tools including but not limited to wire strippers, wire cutters, screwdrivers, tee square, machinist square, tape measure, wrenches and pliers
- Ability to use power tools including but not limited to, drill, tap, hole saw, hydraulic punch, miter saw, jig saw, reciprocating saw, etc.
- Requires frequent standing, reaching and stooping
- Requires occasional kneeling
- Manual dexterity sufficient to manipulate electrical components and wiring.
- Ability to communicate and work cooperatively with coworkers as part of a team
- Consistent and regular attendance is essential to maintain production schedule
- Detail oriented and close attention to accuracy
- Reliable and able to self-motivate
Education & Experience:
- Entry Level up to Very Experienced.
- Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
- Two-year electrical trade school and 2 years or more of work experience preferred
- Experience Building to NEC, UL, CSA, NFPA, IEC, EN Standards preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite of products, Word, Excel, Outlook etc. preferred
