Job Title: Global Safety Manager
Location: Saint Stephens, SC
Salary: $120,000 – $130,000 per year

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Safety Manager to lead and manage environmental, health, and safety (EHS) initiatives within a manufacturing organization. This role is pivotal in ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, building a strong safety culture, and implementing strategies that reduce risks and improve employee safety behavior across all plant sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Champion and drive continuous improvement in safety culture across multiple manufacturing sites.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and all applicable safety regulations and standards.
- Monitor and implement best safety practices from internal and external regulatory bodies.
- Guide plant-level safety coordinators and managers in executing EHS strategies and programs.
- Facilitate the risk management process for equipment and processes, including preventive measures and shared best practices.
- Lead investigations and prevention strategies for Serious Injuries and Fatalities (SIFs), track exposures, and follow up on global action plans.
- Keep global safety data and metrics updated, analyzed, and used to identify improvement opportunities.
- Align site-level safety actions with global safety goals using the Continuous Improvement (CI) methodology, including the 4-step CI process and A3 safety reporting.
- Conduct and coordinate internal and external safety audits.
- Update and communicate the organization’s Safety Policy.
- Develop and deploy training programs focused on safe behaviors and technical compliance.
- Provide EHS-related technical guidance and risk assessments to management, including mitigation options and cost-benefit analysis.
- Maintain and assess site security policies and ensure compliance through annual reviews.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree required
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) preferred
Experience & Skills:
- Minimum of 5 years of safety management experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of OSHA standards
- Proven success leading CI initiatives and managing safety programs
- Proficient in risk assessments and safety data analysis
- Strong leadership, project management, and influencing skills
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving and communication abilities
