Express Employment Professionals is now hiring for a Vet Tech/ Assistant with an animal clinic located in the West Columbia area. This position will offer full time, long term opportunity with compensation starting at $17.00+ hourly and hours of Monday - Friday 9:00am - 6:00pm.

Responsibilities:

Assist in surgery
Collect animals from their cages
Help with preparation and holding animals during procedures
Note: Animals will be sedated during preparation
Example task: Shaving the surgery site
Requirements:

Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or animal-related field is preferred
Knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures
Familiarity with aseptic techniques and animal husbandry practices
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent customer service skills and professionalism in handling difficult situations
Ability to handle animals safely and confidently, including dog handling skills
Knowledge of veterinary critical care is a plus
Ability to work well in a team environment
Dress Code:

Business casual
Scrubs are acceptable
Closed-toe shoes required
No piercings
Jeans and khakis are acceptable (no yoga pants)
