Job Full Description
Express Employment is now seeking Shipping Operators for a welding company in the Columbia area. This is a full time, long term position with multiple shifts and some overtime available including Saturdays. This position will offer room for growth, great benefits, and monthly employee appreciation events. In house training and licensing is offered
This position will be responsible for operating several industrial trucks (Hyster 450/1050, Taylor 450, Komatsu). Starting pay is $19.00 hourly with room for growth. This role will be working outdoors and indoors in a non-climate controlled environment.
Duties include:
- Follow all safety rules
- operate heavy equipment (Hyster 450/1050, Taylor 450, Komatsu)
- Loading/unloading
- Inventory for yard
- Other duties would include: Lubricates truck, recharges batteries, fills fuel tank, or performs other light maintenance as required; contacts maintenance department or supervisor if other repairs or maintenance are needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- a minimum of three years of related experience to include industrial type painting
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to accurately read tape measure.
- Physical Requirements: stand, walk, climb or balance
- Lift up to 25lbs
