Job Title: Facilities Manager
Location: Irmo, South Carolina
Type of Position: Part-time, Hourly, 25 hours/week

Overview:
Express Employment Professionals is seeking a dedicated and reliable Facilities Manager to oversee the upkeep and maintenance of our church facilities. This part-time position is responsible for ensuring the church property, vehicles, and equipment are safe, functional, and well-maintained, creating a welcoming and productive environment for our congregation.

Key Responsibilities:

Church Facilities:

Propose and manage service contracts with external vendors.
Coordinate building contractors and vendors for necessary repairs and maintenance.
Work with the Trustees and Church Administrator on the annual budget and prioritize maintenance expenditures.
Ensure ongoing safety, cleanliness, and functionality of all church property, including buildings, grounds, and vehicles.
Manage and oversee minor repairs to electrical, plumbing, HVAC, cabinets, doors, windows, roofs, and concrete structures.
Coordinate volunteer support for light maintenance and property upkeep.
Ensure the setup and breakdown of furnishings for services, Sunday School, meetings, and special events.
Church Vehicles:

Maintain and ensure church vehicles (buses, golf carts, trailers) are in proper working order.
Provide training and record-keeping for vehicle operators.
Safety & Security:

Oversee security camera systems and work with contracted vendors.
Maintain safety systems including fire alarms, smoke detectors, kitchen exhaust systems, and AEDs.
Serve on the Safety and Security Committee to enhance church safety protocols.
General Duties:

Perform general repairs and oversee maintenance of office equipment, appliances, and church furnishings.
Manage inventory of supplies (cleaning products, lighting, etc.).
Attend weekly staff meetings and monthly Trustee and Safety meetings.
Provide updates and reports on facilities matters as needed.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree or certificate in facilities management is a plus.
At least 3 years of experience in general facility maintenance, repair, and cleaning.
Strong knowledge of facility tools, equipment, and repair techniques.
IT skills are a plus; Microsoft Office proficiency required.
Must have a valid SC Drivers license.
Ability to lift 50 lbs and endure physical activities such as standing, bending, kneeling, and climbing.
Strong mechanical inclination, self-motivation, and flexibility.
Ability to read and understand English, and follow safety guidelines.
Christian character and commitment, with the ability to pass a drug test and background check.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
