Job Full Description
Express Employment Professionals is partnering with a local company in the Duncan, SC area that has a need for an Electrical Engineer.
General Description - Manages the following daily operations:
Review customer requirements
Control panel design and layout
Create bill of material and detailed electrical drawings for assembly
Build, wire, and test control panels
Work with manufacturing on assembly and test of control systems
PLC and HMI programming as needed
Travel to specific job sites when required
Coordinate with and consult other workers to design, lay out, or detail components and systems and to resolve design or
other problems
Check dimensions of materials to be used and assign numbers to the materials
New part number creation
Researches, writes, and edits equipment manuals and installation guides
Provides technical training on equipment as needed
Additional projects and responsibilities may be assigned by management as necessary
Work experience requirements:
At least 1-year design engineering experience
Working knowledge of electrical circuits, electronic devices, motors, drives, sensors, and cameras
Must have knowledge of design codes and standards (NEC, NFPA79, OSHA, UL508A)
Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
Must have Windows Operating System Experience (Linux a plus)
Must have networking experience and strong computer skills
CAD experience (EPLAN experience a definite plus) on panel design and electrical schematic drawings
Must be able to read and interpret electrical schematics
Must be able to work with and distinguish color coded materials
Be able to travel 25%
SAP experience preferred
Self-motivated, ability to work independently
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Oral and written communication skills
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand/walk for 8 hours per day
Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and relevant vocational training
Hours: Monday thru Friday, 8am- 5pm
