Job Full Description
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Assistant Machine Operator for a client in the Roebuck, SC area. In this position, you will support the efficient operation of production equipment. The successful candidate will assist in machine setup, operation, and maintenance while ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in setting up and adjusting machinery according to production specifications.
- Monitor machine performance and ensure consistent operation during production.
- Load raw materials and remove finished products from machines.
- Conduct routine quality checks on products to meet specified standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to 5S principles.
- Report any mechanical or safety issues to the machine operator or supervisor.
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies to ensure a safe working environment.
- Support in troubleshooting mechanical issues as directed.
- Keep accurate production and maintenance logs as required.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Previous manufacturing or machine operation experience required.
- Basic understanding of mechanical systems and tools.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Good physical stamina; ability to stand for long periods and assist in lifting finished rolls.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Work Environment:
- Manufacturing floor with exposure to noise, temperature changes, and machinery.
Schedule:
- Monday thru Thursday, 8am- 6pm (no Fridays!!)
Pay: $16 per hour
