We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Personal Injury Paralegal. The ideal candidate will assist attorneys in managing personal injury cases, ensuring that all documentation is accurate, organized, and compliant with legal standards. This role requires a strong understanding of legal procedures and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys with the preparation of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
- Conduct thorough document review to ensure accuracy and completeness of case files.
- Manage case files using document management systems and maintain organized records for easy retrieval.
- Transcribe legal documents and correspondence as needed.
- File legal documents with appropriate courts and agencies in a timely manner.
- Conduct research using Lexis-Nexis and other legal research tools to support case preparation.
- Draft correspondence and other legal documents under attorney supervision.
- Maintain communication with clients, witnesses, and experts to gather necessary information for cases.
- Support attorneys during trials by preparing exhibits and managing trial logistics.
Skills
- Proficiency in document management systems and experience with PCLaw is preferred.
- Strong legal drafting skills with attention to detail in all written communications.
- Familiarity with environmental law is a plus but not required.
- Excellent clerical skills including filing, organization, and time management.
- Ability to transcribe accurately and efficiently under tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to review complex documents critically.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.
