About the Role: As a Tree Care Specialist, you’ll be at the heart of our operations, performing essential tree care tasks such as pruning, trimming, and removals to enhance both tree health and aesthetics. You’ll collaborate closely with our ground crew and certified arborists, ensuring each job is done safely, efficiently, and to the highest industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Tree Maintenance: Climb, prune, and trim trees to promote their health, safety, and visual appeal.
- Tree Removal: Safely remove trees using advanced rigging techniques, lowering branches and tree sections with precision.
- Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain tools such as chainsaws, hand saws, ropes, and other tree care equipment.
- Health Assessment: Evaluate tree health and structure, making recommendations for proper care and management.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols rigorously to maintain a safe working environment.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with ground crew and communicate with clients to coordinate and complete tasks effectively.
- Equipment Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain tools and equipment to ensure they are in excellent working condition.
- Industry Standards: Adhere to all company policies and industry guidelines to deliver high-quality tree care services.
Requirements:
- Experience: Proven experience as a tree climber or in a similar arboriculture role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in climbing techniques and familiarity with climbing and rigging equipment.
- Physical Fitness: Strong physical condition, with the ability to lift heavy objects and handle strenuous tasks.
- Knowledge Base: Understanding of tree species, common diseases, and proper care techniques.
- Driver’s License: Valid license with a clean driving record.
- Coordination: Excellent balance, coordination, and dexterity.
- Work Ethic: Demonstrates reliability, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety and continuous learning.
