Job Full Description
Express Employment Professionals is currently hiring a Forklift Operator/Yard Loader for a client in the Cleveland, TN area. This position will be a temp-to-hire role, once you've met the required hours. Below are the details for this position.
Pay: $15-16/hr depending upon experience
Shift: 1st, 7am to 3:30pm OR 9am to 5:30pm
Benefits are available with Express Employment Professionals and once hired by the client.
General Accountabilities
- Load trailers for delivery the next day
- Transfer materials from the stockroom, warehouse or another storage facility to the ordering department and/or relocates materials within the storage facility.
- Wrap products for delivery or pick up.
- Will be required to use a hand truck, forklift, hoist, motorized conveyor, or other material handling equipment.
- Secures cargo for transport, secured within strapping no more than five feet on center.
- Checks the conditions of trailers after contents have been unloaded to ensure that there has been no damage.
- Checks orders for completeness and possible damage.
- Checks all load-related documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate.
- Logs shipments, and completes and forwards paperwork in a timely manner, as assigned.
- Files paperwork, as assigned.
- Prepares, packs, and ships all outgoing merchandise (including returns) according to department procedures.
- Maintains general order and cleanliness of the area, including removal of trash, as assigned.

Job Qualifications
- Forklift experience 2 years or more required
- Experience in material handling/loading trailers securing the loads 1 year or more
- Positive Attitude
- Physically Capable
- Needs to be comfortable lifting 50(+) lbs throughout the shift.
