Job Title: Hotel Front Desk Receptionist
Location: Johnson City, TN
Pay: $13.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday through Friday, Must be Available for Morning and Evening Shifts
Reports To: Front Desk Manager

Overview:
We are seeking a friendly, energetic, and highly personable Hotel Front Desk Receptionist to join our team in Johnson City, TN. The most important quality for this role is a big, fun, and great personality that will help create a welcoming and positive experience for our guests. In this role, you will manage front desk operations, interact with guests, and assist with check-ins and check-outs. Your ability to provide excellent customer service will be key to ensuring guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guest Reception & Check-in:

    • Greet guests with a warm and friendly attitude, ensuring they feel welcome from the moment they arrive.
    • Check guests in and out efficiently, ensuring accuracy in guest information and payment processing.
    • Provide guests with information about hotel amenities, services, and local attractions.
  • Communication & Customer Service:

    • Handle guest inquiries, requests, and concerns in a positive and professional manner, ensuring high levels of guest satisfaction.
    • Answer phone calls promptly, providing information and addressing any guest needs or concerns.
    • Assist in resolving guest issues or complaints in a timely and effective manner.
  • Administrative Tasks:

    • Manage reservations, cancellations, and adjustments in the hotel’s booking system.
    • Maintain accurate records of guest information, payments, and receipts.
    • Perform basic office duties such as filing, sorting mail, and maintaining cleanliness at the front desk area.
  • Team Collaboration:

    • Work closely with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure guest needs are met.
    • Assist other departments when needed to ensure smooth hotel operations.
  • Security and Safety:

    • Monitor hotel security and maintain a safe environment for guests and staff.
    • Handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently, following hotel protocols.

Qualifications:

  • A positive, friendly, and outgoing personality is essential to succeed in this role.
  • Previous experience in customer service or a front desk role is a plus, but not required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable working with computers and basic office equipment.
  • Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, and some weekends as needed.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds when needed.
  • Must be able to work with occasional heavy traffic and guest volume.
