Jon and Becky Rolen

Owners

Jon and Becky Rolen are the owners of the Murfreesboro Express office that was established in March 2006. Their fervent passion of helping others achieve career goals and stability is what fuels the business. Jon is a Louisiana native but has been a resident of Murfreesboro since 1965, while Becky was born and raised in middle Tennessee. The pair met in high school and married in 1980. Jon attended both Middle Tennessee State University and University of Tennessee, obtaining a Bachelor of Business Administration in 1979. That same year, Becky received a bachelor's and master's equivalency in speech pathology, where she would work with Murfreesboro city schools as a teacher until her retirement in 2013. After his graduation, Jon would further his career as owner / operator at both Sonic Drive-Ins and Snap-On Tools. He has been a member of the Murfreesboro Chamber of Commerce for 10 years.

The couple celebrates their business for its success and impact in the community. The Murfreesboro office has been honored as a Circle of Excellence office for the last 5 years and was praised with the Neighborhood Marketing Award. Jon and Becky sought to establish a premier staffing service where people could be treated equally and fairly; they are pleased to say that goal has been met. Express Employment of Murfreesboro prides itself on their quality associates, excellent clientele, and dedicated internal team.

Matthew Couture

Director of Operations

Matthew is a seasoned staffing industry professional with over 22 years of experience in the field. Originally from Manhattan, he began his career in hospitality and retail, where he developed strong customer service and operations management skills. With a degree in Information Systems Management, Matthew seamlessly transitioned into the staffing industry, leveraging a unique blend of technical expertise and industry knowledge to drive successful staffing solutions for clients and candidates alike.

Throughout his career, Matthew has worked with a range of companies, from startups to established enterprises, helping to build high-performing teams, optimize workforce strategies, and implement technology-driven solutions. With a deep understanding of both business operations and information systems, he has played a key role in streamlining recruitment processes, improving operational efficiency, and supporting long-term growth for staffing organizations. In addition to his staffing industry expertise, Matthew is passionate about using technology to solve complex problems and improve business outcomes. He is committed to continuous professional development, staying ahead of industry trends, and delivering exceptional service to clients and candidates.

Outside of work, Matthew enjoys horror films, paranormal research and going on vacation with his wife and two daughters. Whether exploring new cities, connecting with peers, or staying engaged with emerging tech trends, he is always looking for new ways to grow personally and professionally.

Leslie Schenck

Regional Franchise Manager

Leslie Schenck originally from Richwood West Virginia moved to Murfreesboro, TN in 2003. She graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a Bachelors Degree in Psychology in 2010. She began working with Express Employment Professionals in February of 2016 as an employment specialist, she has since then worked her way to Regional Franchise Manager. She loves to travel and spend time with her friends and family.

Missy Hartley

Regional Development Manager

A Mobile, Alabama native, Missy has been happily married to her high school sweetheart, Jared, for over 15 years. They relocated to Murfreesboro in 2016 and have one son, Liam, and two dogs, Clarabelle and Maddie. Missy is passionate about the staffing industry, drawing from her own positive experiences as a candidate.

Originally from Texas and now calling Tennessee her home, Diana graduated with a bachelor's in Psychology from Lipscomb University. She finds fullfillment in being part of a team that helps others find employment and better their lives. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time in nature and cherishing moments with her family.

Jared, originally from Sarasota, FL, earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Middle Tennessee State University. With a decade of experience in hospitality management, he brings a wealth of knowledge to his work. Outside of his professional life, Jared enjoys cooking, attending sporting events, and playing golf. He cherishes quality time with his son, family, and friends. Jared is grateful to be a part of the Express Employment Professionals team, where he is inspired by the powerful impact they have on changing lives.

Melisa McDaniel

Employment Specialist

Melisa grew up in Virginia but after one visit to Tennessee, she knew she wanted to be part of the Volunteer State.  A few years into the move, she met her now Husband. Together they have explored and lived in most of the outskirts of Nashville but have now settled near the south. They love going biking, hiking, kayaking and if they are not outdoors or with friends and family, they're in church. They have two cats, Nona and Lavi, that love to go on walks along with them. Melisa is passionate about laughing, listening, and serving others. Her biggest desire is to extend grace, love, and compassion to everyone she encounters.
