Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Leasing Agent to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the leasing process for residential properties, ensuring compliance with Fair Housing regulations, and providing exceptional customer service to prospective tenants. This role requires strong administrative skills, a solid understanding of leasing agreements, and the ability to negotiate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Conduct property tours and showcase available units to prospective tenants.
• Manage the application process, including screening applicants and verifying documentation.
• Ensure compliance with Section 8 regulations and other housing programs, including LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit).
• Maintain accurate records of leasing activities and tenant interactions using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.
• Collaborate with sales teams to develop marketing strategies that attract potential renters.
• Negotiate lease terms and conditions with prospective tenants while maintaining company policies.
• Handle administrative tasks related to leasing agreements, including drafting contracts and processing renewals.
• Address tenant inquiries and resolve conflicts in a professional manner, ensuring a positive living experience for all residents.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Leasing Agent or in a similar role within property management.
• Strong knowledge of Fair Housing regulations and Section 8 guidelines.
• Excellent administrative skills with attention to detail in documentation and record keeping.
• Proficient in using office software and CRM systems for managing tenant information.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment while also working independently.
• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to manage conflicts professionally.
• Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on building relationships with tenants and prospects.
