Express Employment Professionals is seeking a Engineering Sales Manager. This is a Direct Hire work from home opportunity.
Job Overview
Responsible for managing and executing sales projects within the assigned territory by ensuring timely and accurate project completion. This role involves collaborating with clients, developing competitive proposals, and maintaining strong communication throughout the sales cycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Proposal Development: Prepare and present detailed sales quotations, including thermal designs, costing, terms, conditions, and specification reviews.
- Customer Engagement: Identify and address customer needs, tailoring competitive solutions to meet requirements.
- Negotiation: Work with customers to secure orders, ensuring profitability and adherence to project constraints.
- Documentation: Track sales activities and manage proposals using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.
- Compliance: Follow established tender review and approval processes.
- Transition Management: Facilitate smooth handoffs to project teams by attending design verification meetings as necessary.
- Industry Awareness: Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and production capabilities.
- Supplier Coordination: Source and negotiate with sub-suppliers for pricing and delivery during the quotation phase.
- Sales Planning: Contribute to sales forecasting and strategic planning efforts.
- Collaboration: Maintain professional communication with customers, team members, and other stakeholders.
- Product Knowledge: Develop a comprehensive understanding of the company’s offerings and services.
- Teamwork: Foster a cooperative environment, demonstrating respect and professionalism toward colleagues and customers.

Education and Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Experience: At least 5+ years of experience in sales or a related role (7-10 years preferred for managerial positions).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with VBA and design software such as SolidWorks or Inventor is a plus.
Additional Requirements
- Mathematical Ability: Strong numerical skills for accurate calculations, analysis, and reporting.
- Problem-Solving: Capability to handle complex situations with minimal standardization.
- Travel: Up to 20% travel may be required, including occasional international trips.
