Experience: NMLS license required; builder mortgage loan officer experience preferred
Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Loan Officer to join our team. In this role, you’ll guide homebuyers through the loan process, from pre-qualification to application, serving as their primary point of contact. Your expertise in mortgage products, strong relationship-building skills, and dedication to providing exceptional service will ensure success in meeting the financial needs of homebuyers.
Key Responsibilities
• Loan Qualification: Pre-qualify prospective homebuyers using automated underwriting systems or manual guidelines to identify the best mortgage solutions (conventional, FHA, VA, USDA, etc.).
• Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong partnerships with onsite Sales Consultants and homebuyers, fostering trust and seamless collaboration.
• Loan Application Process: Assist buyers with completing loan applications, addressing credit challenges, and managing the loan pipeline to ensure timely funding.
• Customer Engagement: Provide exceptional customer service in an inside/outside sales environment, offering support during weekends for builder community events and grand openings.
• Business Development: Cultivate relationships with real estate agents, financial planners, and other potential referral sources to drive new business.
Qualifications
• Experience: 3–5 years as a Mortgage Loan Officer, preferably within a builder environment.
• Licensing: Active NMLS license is required.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in conventional and government loan guidelines; Encompass experience preferred.
• Personal Skills: Strong interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
• Sales Acumen: Proven track record of success in sales with excellent communication and presentation abilities.
