Location: Austin, TX (In-Office/ NOT REMOTE OR HYBRID*)
Pay Rate: $30.00 - $40.00/ HR
Hours: Monday – Friday || 8:00 am - 5:00 pm (w/1 Hour Lunch)
One of our clients out of North Austin is looking to hire an experienced and licensed Critical Cooling Technician. Their company is a well-established industrial equipment provider that specializes in offering a comprehensive range of critical solutions including power, thermal, and infrastructure management to achieve results that matter most. Whether a client needs UPS units, large room cooling, or edge solutions, they’ll help maximize availability, enhance performance, and reduce downtime.
* Required: EPA universal certification / TDLR certification *
The Critical Cooling Technician position guarantees 40 hours per week, company-provided tools, and a service vehicle to be used for work.
AC Technician responsibilities:
• Perform maintenance on computer room AC equipment
• Diagnose and repair service issues on computer room AC equipment
• Maintain company-provided service vehicle and tools
• Must maintain and control spare parts inventory on company vehicle
• Must keep a professional appearance and attitude
• Must be able to work 24-7 On-Call rotation
HVAC Technician requirements :
• Minimum of 5 years experience in Datacenter AC maintenance and service
• Must have EPA universal certification / TDLR certification
• Must be able to pass a background check & Drug/Alcohol screening
• Must have a clean driving record (MVR)
• Dependable and punctual to follow daily schedule
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
• Local market knowledge (preferred)
• Excellent communication skills; Speak English fluently (required)
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
• Basic mathematical skills (required)
• Ability to walk, stand, or sit for 8 hours or more a day
• Move supplies, parts, and equipment weighing up to 70 pounds
• Bend, stoop climb, and work at heights greater than 3 feet
• Understand and carry out oral and written instruction
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work
• Must be self-motivated, highly organized, able to problem solve, as well as have a desire to succeed.
Education/Experience:
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Comprehensive product and application knowledge
