Job Full Description
Printing Company at North Austin is looking for a Facilities Maintenance Safety Technician.
This is a two-step interview process. First, you'll need to complete the screening interview with the recruiter, and then you'll move on to the final interview with the company.
Schedule: Full-Time
Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
With on-call availability for emergencies.
Pay: $18/HR
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Safety Specialist to join our team.
This role requires a proactive individual with strong technical skills, a passion for safety,
and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
*Implement and enforce safety programs, including SDS management, LOTO procedures, PPE standards,
forklift and EPJ safety, and working-at-heights protocols.
*Conduct safety training sessions and maintain compliance with applicable safety regulations.
*Use basic hand tools and power tools to assist in maintaining safe and efficient operations.
*Collaborate with the Facilities team when necessary to address safety or equipment concerns.
*Provide on-call support for emergency situations outside of normal working hours.
Qualifications:
*Proficient in computer skills, including Google Sheets, Google Docs, or Microsoft Office equivalent; email; and safety training software.
*Comprehensive understanding of SDS’s, LOTO, PPE, and other safety programs.
*Previous experience in safety-related roles within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
*Ability to interpret and follow detailed oral or written instructions using common sense.
*Familiarity with production equipment, forklifts, scissor lifts, and compressors (preferred).
*Valid Texas Driver’s License.
Physical Requirements:
*Lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs.
*Push and pull up to 50 lbs.
*Perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, reaching, and climbing ladders.
*Work on ladders, roofs, and other elevated surfaces as necessary.
*Adapt to extreme weather conditions, including heat and cold, while maintaining safety standards.
*Work in a production environment with exposure to noise.
