Position: Class A CDL Driver
Location: South ATX
Salary: $24 - $27 per hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Position Summary:
As a Class A CDL Driver, you will play a crucial role in transporting goods to and from various locations while ensuring safety and efficiency. This position involves significant lifting, loading, and unloading of freight, making it essential for candidates to have a strong work ethic and physical stamina.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle in compliance with all state and federal laws.
- Load and unload freight from the truck, ensuring proper handling and securing of materials.
- Inspect the truck and equipment before and after trips, performing necessary maintenance and reporting issues.
- Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, pick-ups, and any incidents.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Perform routine truck inspections and minor repairs as needed.
- Assist in inventory management and organization of cargo at delivery and pick-up sites.
Qualifications:
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of [1-2 years] of driving experience preferred.
- Strong physical ability to lift heavy objects (up to [specify weight, e.g., 50 lbs]) and perform manual labor tasks.
