Job Details

Quality Assurance Inspectors verify adherence to crate manufacturing processes, conduct visual and manual product/process inspections, and report data to Operations, Senior Management, and Quality teams to meet customer standards.

 

Essential Functions:

1. Inspection of Crates 

   • Accept or reject completed work products by verifying that they meet customer specifications through measurements and visual inspection.
   • Utilize specialized tools for inspecting products or processes, including weighing or measuring finished products and assessing moisture content of wood.
   • Employ proprietary software to track and update quality data and assist in the delivery of reports to Operations, Senior Management, or Quality departments.

2. Improvement Recommendations 

   • Review specifications, standards, and test plans of customer designs, providing feedback to the Design department.
   • Implement and follow up on corrective actions resulting from customer complaints, returns, and non-conformance issues, analyzing their root causes.
   • Participate in ISO audits to ensure compliance with local and company-wide standards.

3. Communication to Production 

   • Provide feedback to the Production department regarding any errors or non-conformances in the assembly process, both verbally and through written documentation.

Desired Education/Knowledge/Skills:

• 6 months of wood products manufacturing experience preferred.
• 1 year of quality inspection experience desired.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent is helpful.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; bilingual (Spanish) is preferred.
• Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) with the ability to learn proprietary software.
• Ability to read measurements with a tape measure in ¼ and ⅛ increments.
• Experience with blueprint and design reading is beneficial.
• Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment.

1ST Shift: 6AM - 2:30PM 

2ND Shift: 2:30PM - 11PM 

3RD Shift: 11PM - 6AM Mon.-Thurs. (Sun. are 6:30PM - 6AM
