Position Summary

 Express is currently seeking highly skilled CNC Operators to join our team. The primary responsibility of the CNC Operator is to process materials through techniques such as milling, drilling, and bending. This role requires an analytical mindset and meticulous attention to detail, as the operator will translate the company's vision into high-quality metal components. A deep understanding of CNC machinery is essential to ensure optimal performance and workflow.


Objectives

  • Manufacture wooden or metal parts and components according to design blueprints.
  • Master the CNC operating system to enhance productivity.
  • Utilize strong software skills, particularly in V-Carve, to perform CNC programming tasks.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Manage the complete lifecycle of CNC operations, from design and setup to production.

Responsibilities

  • Change collets, tool inserts, tool blocks, and tool holders as needed.
  • Make necessary adjustments to machines, including offset wear and geometry settings.
  • Carry out basic maintenance on CNC machines as instructed.
  • Set up, operate, and maintain one or more CNC machines efficiently.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in CAD/CAM and basic computer programming.
  • Adjust programs at the control panel as required.
  • Maintain routine operations of CNC machines to ensure optimal performance.
  • Conduct test runs and lead trials as part of machine operation.
  • Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to blueprints.
  • Document machine activities accurately.
  • Manage inventory and oversee the ordering and procurement of parts
  • Convert written instructions into precise computer commands for production.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent certification.
  • Previous experience as a CNC Operator.
  • Exceptional analytical abilities and detail-oriented mindset.
  • Competence in interpreting design blueprints, particularly 3D drawings.
  • Strong understanding of mathematics and mechanics.
  • Proficient software and computer skills.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in engineering or a closely related discipline.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • A goal-oriented approach to achieving work objectives.
