Process Engineer – Semiconductor
Our client is on the leading edge of semiconductor manufacturing technology and they are looking to add an experienced Process Engineer to their team at their location in Austin. The person in this position will be developing, optimizing and documenting semiconductor manufacturing processes on experimental and prototype tools. JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Use knowledge, DOE’s and other tools to understand key process variables and how they affect product quality, throughput, and cost
- Generate and analyze data from DOE’s and other experiments using state of the art inspection and analytical tools to develop and test theories on improved process steps
- Use DOE and other methods to design, analyze and develop actionable conclusions from experimental results
- Communicate with internal and external teams to identify customer requirements and develop technology toward those requirements
- Prepare and present research summaries, status updates, etc. to internal and external team members; Generate IP
- Normal working hours are M – F, ~8 am – 5 pm; Domestic and international travel up to ~10% required
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Prefer Ph.D. candidates with degrees in engineering / physical science and minimum 1 years work experience; MS or BS candidates with appropriate experience will also be considered
- Experience in process development, defect mitigation, surface analytical techniques are all helpful
- Previous work with DOE software (JMP or other), as well as TCL, Python, MATLAB or VBA are helpful
- Demonstrated success in project ownership and moving technical concepts forward into production is a strong positive
- Must show strong imitative and willing to set and implement strategy for this project
- Excellent communication skills, high level of intellectual curiosity
