Position: Material Handler
Responsibilities:
- Operate an overhead tandem crane to load work stations with various products.
- Read and interpret production drawings, bills of material, and work schedules.
- Maintain accurate records of completed work.
- Assist storeroom personnel in staging parts for daily work schedules.
- Frequently lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
- Maintain safety and housekeeping standards while performing material handling duties.
- Operate tandem crane to load and unload work stations.
- Assist fitters in assembling pole assemblies using measuring tools.
Skills Required:
- Knowledge of basic shop mathematics (addition, subtraction, fractions, multiplication, and decimals).
- Ability to read and write.
Qualities Required:
- Willingness to work with press operators to learn press brake operation.
- Knowledge of safe practices to avoid injuries.
