Express Employment Professionals is looking for a Baler Operator and Unloader for a local metal recycling plant in the West Dallas area.
Overview:
The Baler Operator is responsible for efficiently operating and unloading the baler while ensuring a safe and organized work environment. Working under the guidance of the Operations Lead, this role focuses on meeting company objectives. Additional duties include maintaining equipment, performing non-mechanical upkeep, and ensuring safe operation at all times.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate Baler on a daily basis
- Maintain clean and organized work area
- Unload baler as bales are produced
- Record hourly/daily log of total weight materials
- Record down time of the baler flow
- Complete and maintain necessary paperwork pertinent to the right department
- Perform physical duties that are associated with the operation of equipment
- Follow direction of Operations Lead with regards to daily production to complete the job
- Perform daily preventive maintenance
- Follow dress code and wear proper PPE at all times
- Able to make decisions and display problem solving skills in high stress situations
- Able to work independently without constant supervision
Job Requirements/Skills:
- Knowledge of Non-Ferrous metals
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to organize, plan, and prioritize work efficiently
- Able to pass a drug test and background check prior to job starting
- Willing to work overtime and weekends
- Basic Math, reading and writing skills
- Heavy equipment experience preferred (Ex. Skid steer, Bob Cat, Fork Lift, Front End Loader)
- Material Handling Expereince
- Able to sit and stand for long periods of time
- Able to lift up to 50lbs or more every hour
- Exposure to operations in scrap recycling facilities is a plus
Pay: $19/hr
Shift: Multiple shifts (3), May have to train on one and move to the other.
Shift times:
1st - 7am to 3pm
2nd - 3pm to 11pm
3rd - 11pm to 7am
