Express Employment is looking for a welder for a local manufacturing company here in the southwest Dallas area.
Welder Responsibilities
· Reading production work orders and drawings and taking measurements to plan layout.
· Setting up components for welding according to specifications.

We are looking for a qualified MIG and TIG Welder to weld for a sheet metal company
A welder must be competent in using potentially dangerous equipment following all safety precautions. The ideal candidate will also have a steady hand and great attention to detail. Knowledge of various kinds of metal and appropriate weld settings is essential.
Responsibilities
- Read production work orders and drawings and take measurements to plan layout and procedures.
- Be able to read blueprints
- Set up components for welding according to specifications.
- Align components using tape measures and clamp pieces.
- Weld components using MIG and TIG welding equipment.
- Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws.
- Lift and stack heavy components and completed parts.
- Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety
Requirements
- Proven experience as welder.
- MIG Welding experience.
- TIG Welding experience
- Prior experience welding in a fast-paced production-oriented manufacturing environment.
- Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers etc.)
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to take measurements with a tape measure within 1/16” measurements.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
- Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves etc.).
- Deftness and attention to detail.
- Ability to understand conversational English preferred.
- Successful completion of a relevant apprenticeship program is desired.
Pay is $19+ an hour
