Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Class A CNC setup and programming, with a strong command of G-code. This position will involve operating and programming CNC machines, specifically Haas equipment, including lathe-mill combinations. The role requires precision, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up, program, and operate CNC machines, including Haas lathe-mill equipment.
  • Interpret and modify G-code to ensure optimal machine performance and part accuracy.
  • Perform machine setup tasks, including tool selection, fixture setup, and calibration.
  • Monitor machine operations to ensure parts are produced to specifications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve programming or machine-related issues promptly.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and ensure machines are in excellent working condition.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
  • Collaborate with team members to optimize machining processes and improve production efficiency.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment in accordance with safety standards.

 

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a CNC Machinist with Class A CNC setup and programming expertise.
  • Proficiency in G-code programming and editing.
  • Hands-on experience with Haas CNC machines, including lathe-mill operations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Knowledge of machine shop practices and safety protocols.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with advanced CNC programming techniques.
  • Experience in optimizing machining processes for efficiency and quality.
  • Ability to train and mentor less experienced machinists.
