Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced TIG Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in TIG and MIG welding techniques, with the ability to weld various materials, including steel, aluminum, and stainless steel, ranging from 18 gauge to 1/2-inch thickness. This role requires proficiency in reading blueprints, operating Miller welding equipment, and the capability to work independently with minimal supervision.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform TIG and MIG welding operations on steel, aluminum, and stainless steel materials.
  • Weld materials of varying thicknesses, from 18 gauge to 1/2 inch, ensuring high-quality results.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and technical drawings to meet project specifications.
  • Set up and operate Miller welding equipment for precise and efficient welding processes.
  • Inspect welds to ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.
  • Maintain welding equipment and tools in excellent working condition.
  • Work independently without direct supervision while adhering to project timelines.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and regulations, including wearing appropriate protective equipment such as a welding hood.

 

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in TIG and MIG welding.
  • Proficiency in welding steel, aluminum, and stainless steel materials.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Strong understanding of welding techniques and best practices.
  • Experience working with Miller welding equipment is required.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality welds.

 

Required Equipment:

  • Welding hood (applicants must supply their own).

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with other welding processes and equipment.
  • Knowledge of metal fabrication and finishing techniques.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills to address welding or equipment-related issues.

 

Work Environment:
