POSITION SUMMARY
Runs Wire & Cable machines such as extruders, braiders, stripers, bunchers, planetary, re-spoolers, and twinners by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Set-up and operation of machines in accordance to build instruction and safety protocols.
- Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
- Pushes button or switch to activate machine once set up is complete and verified.
- Observes machine operation to detect machine malfunction and monitor cable quality.
- Trouble shooting process problems.
- Willing to receive and provide cross-training in all operations.

- Ability to review and comprehend documentation, processes and/or product with high level of detail
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Familiarity with measuring tools; micrometer, caliper, measuring tape etc.
- Looks for ways to improve and promote quality; Applies feedback to improve performance; Monitors own work to ensure quality
- Is consistently at work and on time and arrives at meetings and appointments on time
- Follows instructions, responds to management direction; Commits to extended Treat co-workers and management team with respect
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED); and a minimum of three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is required to stand for extended periods; walk; use hands to grip and feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch; talk or hear and smell. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability adjust focus.
Work Environment: - Regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles; toxic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. - Regularly exposed to humid conditions; moving mechanical parts and extreme heat. Personal Protective Equipment: - Use of safety glasses when in Manufacturing and Test areas - Safety Toe Shoes required
