Preventive Maintenance Technician - $15.00/HOUR
A West El Paso company needs a Preventive Maintenance Technician.
The Preventive Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability. This role involves diagnosing issues, implementing preventive measures, and collaborating with other team members to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
- Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to improve equipment reliability.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance procedures.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests as needed.
- Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
**Qualifications:**
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification preferred.
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician or similar role.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance practices and equipment.
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to various sites as required.
**Physical Requirements:**
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, kneel, and bend for extended periods.
- Willingness to work in various environmental conditions.
