Job Full Description
Local company in Kilgore seeking Tech 1 Welder.
Weld Steel components together using a variety of arc and gas welding equipment. Perform related tasks such as thermal cutting, grinding and drilling. Determine layouts and weld parts and assemblies according to engineered drawings and specifications. Maintain a clean shop environment, including 5S of work area and tools. Pay is $18.50/hr. Monday thru Friday 6am - 2:30pm. Due to government contracts must be a US citizen.
Qualifications:
- Must pass incoming welding tests for the work that will be assigned. Must have High School Diploma/GED, and clean background.
- Strong reading comprehension skills to understand drawings, work orders or written instructions.
- Strong mathematical skills to perform basic calculations.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong interpersonal skills to cooperate and work effectively with others.
- Ability to work under time pressure
- Ability to work independently
