Instrumentation and Electrical (I&E) Tech
Pay: $20.00-$30.00 (DOE)
Job Type: Full Time
The Instrumentation and Electrical (I&E) Tech plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of industrial equipment and processes by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing instrumentation and electrical systems. The I&E Tech will collaborate with Plant Operations and Maintenance to ensure the reliability and functionality of critical systems.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with all plant maintenance to ensure the plant is running as efficiently as possible
- Trouble shoot instrumentation and electrical problems
- Maintain and repair of instrumentation and its control system
- Keep complete documentation regarding all electrical/instrumentation projects
- Provide input for cost savings and process improvements
- Assist in creating Preventive/Predictive maintenance programs
- Keep work areas in an organized and safe condition
- Ensure 100% completion of PM program
- Ensure 100% adherence to LOTO program
- Follow all safety guidelines to ensure compliance
- Attend regular safety meetings
- Review MSDS documentation
- Report unsafe conditions to supervisor or safety personnel
Qualifications:
- Proficiently troubleshoot electrical control circuits (120vac and 24vdc)
- Knowledge in PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and DCS (Distributed Control System)
- Understanding of 4-20ma controls and transmitters
- Familiar with HART communication protocol
- Experience with motor controls (VFD’s, soft-starts and starters)
- 3 years work-related experience
