Available: Monday-Friday 8a-5p (Evening and weekend work may be required or Available on call 24 hours/day, 7 days a week.)

Job Summary:
The Program Administrator is responsible for the oversight of the assigned residential program, and supervision of the Program Manager, Case Managers, and Aftercare Services Coordinator. The Program Administrator ensures the overall program promotes best practices and facilitates the optimum delivery of trauma informed care, while ensuring compliance with DFPS minimum standards. The Program Administrator ensures that each youth's physical, social, emotional, educational, and recreational needs are met.

Job Responsibilities:

· Maintaining a nurturing, therapeutic and safe environment by:

o Leading the program operation in accordance with FLYR policies, procedures, contract and licensing requirements and DFPS minimum standards.

o Overseeing the use of FLYRs Treatment Model to ensure it is practiced throughout the operation and is used as the basis to form all policies, procedures, and practices.

o Ensuring the highest quality of services are provided to youth to achieve the youth’s goals and objectives.

o Ensuring Service Planning and Treatment Team meetings are held in accordance with FLYRs Treatment Model by reviewing the youth’s goals and services to ensure they align with the youth’s strengths, needs, and permanency plan.

· Building trust, collaborations and empowerment with the youth and family members by:

o Ensuring coordination of and participation in school enrollment, and accommodations and/or supports are in place to aid in the youth’s educational success, including the use of TBRI practices in the teaching.

o Ensuring grievances are appropriately handled and responded to.

o Overseeing training, policies and procedures for successful transition into adulthood for youth 14-17 years of age is completed based on the youth’s individual developmental needs.

o Encouraging peer support among youth and Fostering Life Youth Ranch employees.

o Developing professional relationships with other peers in the field such as DFPS, the SSCCs, other agencies, etc.

· Meeting training, compliance and administrative requirements by:

o Supporting the VP of Residential Services, providing input on the current Logic Model specific to the provisions of the Mental & Behavioral Health Treatment Services, modifying the Model over time based on the agency’s Continuous Quality Improvement process.

o Reviewing and approving youth documentation such as Admissions Assessments, Service Plans, Monthly Youth Progress Reports, and others, as needed.

o Continuously assessing improvement opportunities for the program and preparing reports for the CQI process.

o Developing and managing the program operations within approved budget.

o Interviewing and hiring program employees.

o Supporting supervisors with recruiting, evaluation and counseling of employees.

o Completing written performance reviews annually.

o Completing documentation and reports within assigned deadlines.

Education & Experience

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in social work or in another social services field.
  • A Child Care Administrator’s License, or ability to obtain within 12 months is required.
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience.
  • Experience working in working in child welfare and with youth diagnosed with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and behavioral and emotional disorders is preferred.

Additional Requirements

  • Proof of valid Driver's License.
  • Access to reliable transportation and proof of valid/current auto insurance.
  • Cleared motor vehicle driving record.
  • Cleared federal background check and child abuse and neglect registry.
  • Cleared TB test results (current within 12 months prior to employment).
  • Ability to successfully complete all required training.

Physical and Mental Demands:

With or without reasonable accommodation, the physical and mental requirements of this job include the following: ability to lift 50 pounds; frequent bending, squatting, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, carrying, pulling, climbing, and kneeling in interactions with the youth, or other job responsibilities. Occasional physical intervention with distressed youth using SAMA techniques.
