Mechanical Drafter
Pay: $23.00-$30.00
Job Type: Full Time and Part Time
The Mechanical Drafter role is responsible for collaborating closely with designers, engineers, and project managers to create
detailed technical drawings, specifications, and documentation for mechanical products and systems,
creating bills of materials, and controlling drawing revisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize SolidWorks to develop details fabrication drawings including part and assembly details.
- Complete mechanical drawings, ensuring correct title block, call outs, dimensional layouts, etc.
- Completing basic mechanical drawings from scratch as needed by production.
- Create bills of materials for products and assemblies.
- Complete revisions of existing mechanical / systems drawings.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years SolidWorks Experience
- Ability to interpret and create technical drawings and schematics.
- Basic understanding of mechanical design principles.
- The ability to communicate effectively with engineers, designers, and other team members.
- Must have high detail orientation to ensure that all dimensions and tolerance are accurate.
- Must maintain clear and organized records of drawings, revisions, and specifications.
Preferred Skills:
- Associates degree in Drafting, Mechanical Design, Engineering Technology, or related field.
- Familiarity with industry specific standards and regulations such as ANSI, ISO, or ASEM
- Problem solving skills to identify and address design issues.
- Familiarity with Bills of Materials and Project Management software.
Working Conditions:
- Typical manufacturing environment PPE Use Required.
- Office environment with 20% of the time spent on the manufacturing floor.
