Job Full Description
We are looking for a Quality Control Inspector for our client. The successful candidate will work alongside production staff and be tasked with releasing product that meets the client’s requirements as well as preventing non-conforming product from entering the supply chain. They will report to the Quality Control Manager to accomplish this primary task as well as to maintain quality records that are associated with this position

Hours: Monday – Thursday 5:00 AM - 3:00 PM (Overtime (Fridays) should be expected the majority of the year.)

Essential functions:
- Follow all safety and quality standards and procedures, including the use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Understand safety protocols related to proper forklift operations throughout the production floor.
- Have a clear understanding of the quality policy.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Possess basic computer skills.
- Understand the control plan.
- Be familiar with the non-conforming material procedure.
- Know how to use technical prints
- Understand statistical control and implement it according to the control plan and work instructions.
- Conduct audits of all assembly tables in accordance with the control plan and prints.
- Verify that all measuring instruments are calibrated and ready for use.
- Inspect parts after assembly and record findings in the inspection report, as outlined in the work instructions and control plan.
- Be knowledgeable in inspecting the shot peen process according to the control plan and inspection report.
- Audit the painting process following the control plan and record results in the statistical control.
- Audit the shipping process according to the control plan and work instructions.
- If non-conforming material is found, analyze the situation, communicate findings to the supervisor, and follow work instructions, the control plan, and the non-conforming material procedure.
- Document notes in the logbook for any points that are out of control.
- Responsible for maintaining basic housekeeping standards.
Requirements
- 2+ Years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- 1+ Years of experience with common inspection tools: tape measures, calipers, micrometers, fixed gages, etc.
- Experience with metallurgical equipment such as Brinell testers, basic MS Excel and almen gages a plus.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish speaking, reading and writing is a preference.
- Ability to bend, reach and lift up to 50 lb. is required
- Must be able to read and understand shop floor blueprints.
- Ability to work in noncontrolled environment
- Background check and drug screen will be administered
Other
- PPE (safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel toe boots) must be worn at all times on the floor.
- Shorts and sleeveless shirts prohibited.
- 3 Excused Absences allowed in first 90 days. To be excused it must we must be notified of the absence.
- 3 Tardy clock-ins allowed in the first 90 days.
