What’s the Job About?
As a Torque and Test Technician, you’ll play a key role in making sure everything runs safely and efficiently. Your day-to-day will involve:
- Conducting hydrostatic testing to pressurize systems using water, nitrogen, or air.
- Performing pressure tests on critical components to keep things safe and sound.
- Inspecting pipes, pipelines, and vessels to catch anything that might have slipped through the cracks before.
- Evaluating any defects—you’ll help ensure everything can operate safely at design pressures and spot potential leaks.
- Giving the final thumbs-up on system integrity.
- Be ready to travel a bit now and then—variety is the spice of life, right?
What We’re Looking For:
- Local candidates only!
- You need to have a valid driver’s license; you’ll be on the road!
- Experience working with P.D. pressure pumps (0-25,000 psi) and portable testing units.
- Familiarity with calibrated instruments and DOT certified test processes.
- You know your way around equipment, like tri-plex pumps, air compressors, and hydraulic torque wrenches.
