About the Role:
A Packing Machine Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining packing machines to package products efficiently and accurately. This role involves monitoring machine performance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring product quality.
Responsibilities:
- Machine Operation:
- Set up and operate packing machines according to standard operating procedures.
- Adjust machine settings to accommodate different product sizes and packaging requirements.
- Monitor machine performance and identify any malfunctions or errors.
- Quality Control:
- Inspect products for defects, damage, or incorrect packaging.
- Ensure that products are packaged correctly and meet quality standards.
- Monitor product quantity and weight to maintain accuracy.
- Maintenance:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, lubricating, and inspecting machine parts.
- Troubleshoot and resolve machine issues promptly.
- Report any machine malfunctions or maintenance needs to supervisors.
- Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate records of production output, downtime, and quality control data.
- Complete necessary paperwork and documentation.
- Safety:
- Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Report any safety hazards or concerns to supervisors.
Requirements:
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
- Repetitive motion tasks.
- Skills and Abilities:
- Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Forklift operator certification.
