Job Full Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Low Voltage Cable Technician to join our team in Taylor, Texas. This position is a contract with the potential for extension or a full-time opportunity, depending on performance.
As a Low Voltage Cable Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of low voltage cables (such as FTP and UTP) in a fast-paced industrial environment. You will work at an elevated job site—and must be comfortable working at heights while following strict safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair low voltage cables in an industrial setting.
- Pull cables across large construction sites and ensure adherence to cable bending radius standards.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with cables, including foil twisted pair (FTP) and unshielded twisted pair (UTP).
- Collaborate with electricians and other technicians to complete assigned tasks.
- Follow OSHA safety guidelines and ensure work complies with industry standards.
- Complete detailed work orders and maintain accurate records of installation and repairs.
- Ensure safety and competency on elevated job sites, with a focus on preventing accidents.
- Participate in multiple certifications before beginning on-site work.
Requirements:
- OSHA 10 certification (must provide a copy before starting).
- Previous experience working on large industrial construction sites is preferred
- Experience working with low voltage cables and reading blueprints or schematics.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
- Physical ability to pull wires and work in confined spaces, requiring good hand dexterity and strength.
- Must not be afraid of heights.
- Willing to collaborate and maintain a positive attitude with the team.
Preferred Skills:
- Understanding of FTP, UTP, and cable bend radius.
- Previous work experience at Samsung or similar large construction projects.
Additional Information:

- Typical workdays are Monday through Friday, with start times at 6:30 am and shifts lasting about 10 hours. Weekend work is rare.
- This contract is for 3 months, with a high likelihood of extension and potential full-time hiring for top-performing employees.
